Cellar Hole Chronicles - Easement Exploration of Dannies Property in Madison
Snow may cover the ground, but that won't stop us from adventuring into the past!
Join the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust as we step into the history of the Dannies Conservation Easement in Madison. On November 17th, we will be meeting at the Madison Town Hall at 9am and making our way to the property to explore old cellar holes and other remnants. Land Steward, Doug Haver, will be leading the expedition and sharing local history with us along the way.
This is an INTERMEDIATE level hike. Please bring snowshoes and appropriate clothing as the property is heavily wooded and our hike will require some bushwhacking. We will be hiking during archery & muzzleloader season, so please wear/bring orange for an extra level of safety. Also, please bear in mind that ticks are bad this time of year.
