Keep me in the loopUSVLT at World Fellowship Center's Climate Justice Week - Learning about World Fellowship's Land
Executive Director, Jen Pribble will be leading a walk and talk on USVLT's World Fellowship Center Conservation Easement highlighting the history and process of conserving the land during World Fellowship Center's week long series focused on Climate Justice.
Three years ago, World Fellowship granted three separate conservation easements to the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust in order to permanently protect nearly 400 acres of the land and shorefront on Whitton Pond. Part of this process included an assessment of the land to see what was there. Learn about what USVLT identified in their survey – streams, marshes, peatlands, swamps, vernal pools, trees and rich forest soil, and nesting sites for the Common Loon, who have returned to Whitton Pond for over 100 years.
