Keep me in the loopSense of Place: Balancing Sustainable Recreation & Wildlife
What is the state of wildlife populations in the Mount Washington Valley region and what are we balancing between outdoor pursuits and wildlife?
On Wednesday, May 5 from 6:30-8PM live via Zoom, the public is invited to participate in “Balancing Sustainable Recreation and Wildlife,” a Sense of Place community forum. Join us for a discussion of the impacts of trails and trail use on wildlife and the steps land managers are taking to understand and balance human activity and wildlife protection. Panelists from The Nature Conservancy, NH Fish & Game, Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study, and the White Mountain National Forest will share their perspectives, followed by a facilitated discussion. Jim Innes, Saco District Ranger for the US Forest Service, will moderate. This event is free. Please register for the event at bit.ly/sop-wildlife or via the link in the event listing.
