Conservation Easement
December 27, 2007The Dickinson easement permanently protects 659 acres of land and more than two miles of road frontage on Gulf Road, Baird Hill Road, and Greeley Road in Conway.
In addition to protecting the properties' scenic values, the easements safeguard forest resources and significant wildlife habitat. In combination with other nearby easements that have been donated over the years, more than 1,750 acres in South Conway are now permanently protected by USVLT. Large, intact habitat blocks like these are important for wide-ranging species and ecological processes.
